Enjoy the chance to live a unique, thrilling and memorable experience: diving with the BS 1100 Submarine (10 seats plus pilot) at 35 metres depth. A wonderful experience to share with your family!

During this 40-minutes dive, you will view the coral reefs, the fantastic Star Hope wreck, a 17th-Century sheet anchor, and all through the way, myriads of colourful fish like the surgeonfish, capitaine or kingfish.

The BS 1100 is framed and equipped like the archetype legendary submarine, with individual windows viewing out on the underwater world. Inside the cabin, you can watch, live, on a television screen, the impressive immersion of the submarine filmed by a camera from the deck.

You will enjoy the fascinating movement of the pneumatic valves activating the ballasts.

It’s an experience no one should miss, be it at 2 or 90 years old!

Submarine Experience – 2 hours excursion

  • Welcome and briefing at the Blue Safari welcoming desk, in Trou aux Biches – 15 minutes
  • Departure on the jetty; transfer by shuttle boat ‘Vaporetto 2’ to the submarine base “Le Betty des Mascareignes” – 15 minutes
  • Boarding on the submarine, security briefing and immersion – 15 minutes
  • Diving at 35 metres, coral reef sightseeing, 17th-Century Sheet Anchor & Star Hope wreck exploration – 40 minutes
  • Surfacing and back on the “Betty des Mascareignes” – 20 minutes
  • Back to Blue Safari via shuttle boat, issue of certificates – 15 minutes
  • Complimentary refreshing ice tea

    • Sea conditions: In the event of rough sea conditions, Blue Safari may cancel the dive for safety purposes and reschedule it for another day.
    • Maximum Submarine Capacity: 10 passengers + 1 pilot
    • Minimum number of participants: 1 pax
    • Waterproof bag or backpack, cover-up & change of clothes, non-slip shoes, insect repellent, motion sickness pills if necessary, and a waterproof jacket.

Relax Max war sehr zuverlässig und ich habe Delphine und Wale gesehen. Die haben auch noch auf gespätete Kunden gewartet. Ich fand, dass sehr freundlich. Ich war hin und weg als ich die Wale aus der Nähe gesehen habe. Relax Max ist wirklich empfehlenswert.

What a fab day. The venue is so well organised. The staff are welcoming and explain everything very well. We chose the 6 zip line adventure trip and a quad bike double discovery tour. Both were fabulous and we both felt safe, informed and didn’t have to queue. We had great fun and then ended up using the cafe and it was clean and nice. Would do again!

We did choose DOLPHIN AND WHALE ENCOUNTER. Excellent experience altogether! Did see lots of delphins and whales. The tour operator wisely suggested a change of date due to weather forecasts (wind conditions). That made sure we had great a half day at sea. One might note that few drops of water might occur, since it is an ocean we are dealing with. Warmly recommend.

    Expérience incroyable à l’île Maurice, au départ de Flic en Flac ! 🌊
    Observer et nager avec les dauphins était magique, le snorkeling derrière la barrière de corail magnifique, et le passage au Crystal Rock juste spectaculaire.

    Le barbecue sur l’île aux Bénitiers était délicieux, et surtout un grand merci à l’équipage : un personnel au top, professionnel et très chaleureux.
